Material differences - making materials work for a sustainable future

As a business we are committed to the use of sustainable materials, and implementing eco-conscious processes and initiatives, to reduce our carbon footprint. This includes a priority focus on local materials and manufacturing to reduce our environmental impact, with an active consideration of the legacy we leave for future generations.

mindful manufacturing

By prioritizing local manufacturing, we reduce our energy consumption, delivery times and the need for carbon-intensive transportation. While our pursuit of excellence in our product outputs reflects our commitment to social responsibility and designing for the years to come.

sustainable sources

We also ensure our materials are sustainably sourced - our Eucalyptus and Spotted Gum hardwoods are certified via the Program for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC).

Duraslat™, our sustainable alternative to hardwood, is a composite material engineered using recycled plastic and renewable minerals, thereby reducing the overall demand for virgin materials. Proudly made locally, Duraslat's low-maintenance and high durability also contribute to a greener environment by minimizing the need for replacements.

local materials

The galvanized and stainless-steel components in our commercial outdoor furniture are sourced from trusted, long-standing Australian suppliers. It means we know it uses recycled content and is 100% recyclable.
